Mercabarna-flor will celebrate on Sunday, November 12, the 39th edition of its Mercademostraciones, under the motto 'Prê-a-porter', a meeting in which the latest trends in floral art for next Christmas will be shown. As explained by Mercabarna-flor, the ornamental arrangements “will be prepared and explained in a very didactic way, using techniques that are easy to replicate by florists, decorators and hospitality professionals, which will result in innovative and easy-to-market works.”

During the day, the great master florist, winner of the 2022 European Cup, Hanneke Frankema , will star in the great demonstration and more than 15 florists who are experts in floral art will create Christmas works using new products from the Mercabarna-flor companies. Likewise, the Catalan schools Rosa Valls-formació and the School of Floral and Landscaping Design will present their latest projects for the Christmas season and there will be two free workshops, taught by the artist Mia Parramón , in which participants will make a Christmas centerpiece.
Christmas decoration contest
This day will also host the Christmas decoration contest starring florists and decorators that will award 3 works: the decoration of a Christmas tree, a centerpiece and a wreath. The first prize will consist of participation in the conference on floral decoration, 'The factory workshop' of 2024, valued at €980, as well as round-trip flights and 5 days of accommodation.
