OPF Mexico strengthens ties between American and European professionals in the ornamental sector

The fair organized forums on innovation, the Mexican market and meetings to promote business on both sides of the Atlantic

Last week Mexico hosted the OPF Mexico ornamental horticulture fair, which was attended by professionals from both America and many European countries to learn first-hand about the Mexican market, the latest developments in international catalogs, as well as to exchange knowledge. The event started with an inauguration attended by more than 150 people, including professionals from the green sector, landscapers, florists, students and architects.


 

The inauguration counted with the participation of the Director General of the Promotion of Agriculture and Head of the Office of the General Coordination of Agriculture, Santiago Arguello Campos ; the ambassador of the Netherlands in Mexico, Wilfred Mohr ; the president of OPF México, Enrique Arias Velazco ; the president of the State Council of Ornamental Plant Producers in Morelos, Mariano Oropeza Sosa , as well as the CEO of IPM Essen, Oliver P. Kuhrt ; the Secretary of Economy and Labor of the State of Morelos, Ana Cecilia Rodríguez ; the agricultural deputy of the Netherlands embassy in Mexico and Cuba, Erik Palisier and the agriculture deputy of the German embassy in Mexico, Martin Nissen .

In addition to the large exhibition area, the event featured forums on various topics and areas of interest such as landscaping, floral design, horticultural innovation and circular agriculture. Likewise, the Business Center promoted by e-B2B Connect was held, where exhibitors were able to meet businessmen and producers and have a space to interact and form business links, benefiting both Mexican and foreign companies.



On the night of the second day of OPF expo, the Networking Session was held at the Dutch Embassy organized by the Netherlands, where Mexican businessmen and from other countries such as Colombia, Germany, the United States, among others, formed business relationships and strengthened ties. .
