The minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, announced during his visit to the 41st edition of the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery FIMA 2020 that the Government will increase in the coming General Budgets of the State for 2020 the game to fund the Renewal Plan of the National Park of Agricultural Machinery (Plan Renove) above eight million euros.
With the Renove Plan 2019, endowed with 5 million euros, were awarded a total of 558 grants for a total investment in purchase of machinery that has exceeded 18 million euros (the grant has been a 27.5 per cent of total expenditure).
In parallel, the minister noted that it will establish a new line of guarantees by the corporation State Surety Agraria (SAECA) under the ministry, to facilitate credit for the purchase and modernization of machinery.
In addition, the Ministry will amend the Royal Decree on characterisation and register of the agricultural machinery (ROMA) for improvements in any of its sections, and to adapt it to the new objectives related to the machinery, to update the census of agricultural machinery in use in Spain and to create a quality brand which include those tractors that have been classified as A, B or C according to their energy efficiency.
Planas stressed the need to avoid possible accidents deaths in Spain due to lack of safety measures at work, updating all aspects that relates to the control of this machinery.
In addition, the minister stressed that in the past Council of Ministers approved a Royal Decree-Law with a set of urgent action that, among other things, include the obligation to include the production costs of the contracts and the prohibition of the sale price may not be lower than the costs of production.

On the other hand,Planas stressed the "strong defense" of the president of the Government of the interests spaniards in the negotiations of the budget for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the Cohesion Funds that are "basic objectives for Spain".
