AlgaEnergy sum a success more to his long list of public recognitions. The Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (CEPYME) has awarded AlgaEnergy the Award CEPYME 2019 in the Technological Innovation category. The delivery of the prizes CEPYME of this sixth edition took place on 6 November in the auditorium of Banco Santander, in Madrid. The Awards CEPYME, which recognize the achievements of small and medium enterprises and their contribution to economic and social progress and job creation in our country, they have the presidency of honour of SS.MM. the Kings.
The President of AlgaEnergy, Augusto Rodríguez-Villa, has picked up the award from the hands of the minister of Economy and Company of the Government of Spain in functions, Nadia Calviño. Rodriguez-Villa has been stressed that ?the R+D+i is in our DNA. Innovation is our source, but also our future.? Not in vain, the company leads or participates in more than 20 projects of I+D+i at the international level, which amount to about 80 million Euros of investment, in which it collaborates with more than 150 consortium of first-order world -always as the only company of microalgae-.
Rodriguez-Villa has indicated that ?it is certainly a great distinction for our company and a source of pride for the team that shapes it. This award, one of the most prestigious at the national level, is a recognition of our strong commitment to R+D+i and the many resources in this area are dedicated, fortunately with extraordinary results,? he added.
In fact, having spent his first 8 years exclusively to research, AlgaEnergy has been able to develop some products based on microalgae, which are disruptive, only at the global level and that, by its characteristics and efficiency, are revolutionizing the sectors to which they are addressed, in particular the international agriculture, and soon, so will others that have been developed in socio-economic sectors as disparate as are the cosmetics and human nutrition.
