This exceedingly strong perennial is native in the Caucasus where it grows on sunny mountain meadows and in the fringes of the woods. The strong and spicy smelling flowers are long lasting on a vase as well. Dividing the plants every two or three years keeps them vigorous. Height varies with type of soil and growing conditions.
